Ellie Pyart

I started my career as a Patient Care Assistant in 2021 before moving to a 24 hour hospital where I completed my training and qualified at the end of 2024. I joined Corner House in February 2025 and I am looking forward to developing my skills in many different areas, including surgery, throughout my career.

My biggest success in the UK during my training was monitoring the first spinal surgery anaesthetic at the practice I previously worked at. But my favourite nursing memory was when I helped monitor the first foreign body surgery on a Rhino on world rhino day whilst volunteering in South Africa in 2023.

I am really interested in wildlife and exotics and working with African penguins is next on my list of things to do. I hope to be a wildlife nurse in conservation one day. However, in practice when it comes to the smaller animals, I am definitely ‘team cat’!
